When you work a full-time job at a computer, in a cubicle, the last thing you want to do when you get home is to sit back down at the computer.
But as I work during the day, the only time to put out good content is either
- at night, after a long day of work
- the morning, which means less sleep
- the weekend, when no one is/should be on their computers

5 Steps to a Professional Blog Site

That, of course, is why you bring aboard people who do know how to execute: whether it's developing a business plan or bringing a product to market.
One product I can execute quickly and professionally is a Web site or blog. In fact, putting together this blog took no more than an hour or two of my time — and less than $15.

How Do I Deal With Massive Commment Spam?

I know that there has to be some sort of mechanism out there to either block or prevent or do a better job of filtering out spam, but how?

Posted by junger - 07/21/06 at 06:07:16 pmOne of the biggest days for any Web publisher/blogger/whatever is when you publish that one story that either makes it to the Digg front page, gets tagged by loads of del.icio.us users, or even makes it to the holy halls of Slashdot. The feeling is great — traffic goes through the roof (probably so much that your server goes down), comments (and flames) come in hoards and your RSS subscriber feed jumps big time.
But if you aren't prepared for that day, then a one-to-two day traffic boost will be just that. Now, obviously you will not continue to get record numbers from one or two main sources for an extended period of time, but you can keep some of those visitors around. You just have to make them want to stay.
