Patriots 35, Giants 14: Your Super Bowl Results

superbowllogo.jpgYou heard it here first — final score of Super Bowl XLII between the Patriots and Giants tonight will be 35-14, Pats.

(This post is being made at 9:50 AM on Sunday.)

While the teams' Week 17 game was pretty close — 38-35, Pats — New England has a lot of incentive to blow this game out … and they will.

What's on their mind? Namely, the 11th hour accusations that their 2001 Super Bowl win against the Rams was part of Spygate.

Besides the fact that it's likely completely untrue, it's such a low blow to come out with this days before the one game that will decide the Patriots legacy — the first 19-0 team ever, or an unbeaten regular season only to choke in the Super Bowl.

I saw the Pats play the Ravens, in what was probably their closest chance to losing all season. Throughout the entire game, they were calm, collected, and constantly looming. That's how they played in Week 17.

Today, they won't be taking their time. They'll come out of the gates, drive down the field, and blow away the Giants.

You heard it here first.

  1. Sorry, but today we are going to witness one of the greatest super bowl ever, where the cinderella NYG defeat the undefeated cheaters in what will be known as the greatest choke of all time. This will make the Giants the third wild card team in the past 10 years to win the super bowl and the 5th wild card team since the wild card started in 1970. Only 9 wild card teams have made it to the super bowl, so the underdog wins more than it loses in this situation.

  3. C'mon Jason…own up to it. Giants rule…Patriots drool. We in New York shall ALWAYS remember 18-1…oh and WE'RE NUMBER ONE!

But all ribbing aside…you still have your Red Sox to look forward to!
