What's Your Blogging ROI?
Posted by junger - 05/13/07 at 07:05:51 pmAs a blogger of more than one site (the one you're currently surfing as well as the Online Savings Blog, there comes a point where I have to look at the return on investment of posting at either site.
For example, any given post at the OSB makes me significantly more money than a post here on jasonunger.com.
Why? A variety of reasons.
There's a lot more money to be made in advertising on a site dedicated to saving and making money. There are a lot more "useful" posts about personal finance than there are about whatever I post here. And there's a bigger OSB audience, compared to the people I know on- and offline who may read the blog here.
The investment? Time and writing. The return? It depends.
But as every blogger realizes at some point, the return on investment really determines how engaged you are to your commitment. Now, it's sort of a chicken-and-egg situation, but one can normally get a feeling for how the scenario will play out.
What's your blogging ROI? Is it as high as you'd like it to be?
