Would You Like Fries With That Flu Shot?
Posted by junger - 10/12/06 at 08:10:31 pmWe all know that capitalism is great. Whether it's outsourcing your own job to India or the power of HeadOn, the ability to turn your ideas into reality (and prosper from them) is amazing.
We also know that time is important to everyone. While we can't all pack 43 hours of work into one day, a lot of us work at home after working all day. So staying healthy — unfortunately — is often not a top priority.
So what are you supposed to do if you don't want to get sick, but don't have time to go see a doctor for your annual flu shot?
Simple. Drive thru flu shots.
They're happening in towns all across America, probably right under your nose.
This one-of-a-kind flu shot program allows people to be immunized without leaving their car. The shots are administered by health care professionals to patients who drive up and simply extend an arm.
How crazy is that? You don't even need to get out of the car.
Got a van full of kids? Presumably, someone comes into your van and administers the shots to the family.
From what I understand, you pull up to one window, where you give some medical history, then to the next window, where you pay. From there, you head to get the shot.
I'm just wondering where you get offered the fries with that.
Has anyone gone to the drive-thru flu shot before? I want to hear your experiences. Leave a comment below!
