Girl Thinks She is Jack Bauer's Other Daughter, MySpace's It
Posted by junger - 06/22/06 at 04:06:04 pmI was browsing around Wikipedia today, specifically the entry for Jack Bauer, when I noticed an oddity under the "Trivia" section: Jack and Teri had another daughter, named "Cassandra- Joanner Bauer (aka 'CJ'), who (in a twist of fate) was adopted by Lynn McGill after Jacks 'death'." Huh? I'm probably one of the biggest 24 fans out there, and I've never heard of this.
So what do good journalists do? Google the name.
Apparently, there's no one by that name, but there is someone with the name Cassandra-Joanne (CJ) Bauer, who has a MySpace profile. The Wikipedia edit was made by a user named Ellaelisha, Alright, so we've got a girl (assuming) who thinks she is Jack Bauer's non-existent daughter, creates a Myspace page for it, then goes on to "vandalize" the Wikipedia entry for Jack Bauer. And she can't even spell her made-up name right.
And we as a society wonder why kids do stupid things on the Internet? They're living in a totally different, imaginative world where they think only good things can happen online, and then they go and meet people they met online and, well, regret it.
How can a site like MySpace idiot-proof itself? It can't, especially when its users are displaced from reality.

That CJ myspace page is mine, it's for rping (aka role playing) purposes only.
Though I do have another rp character name Ella Elisha I do not have an account for the mentioned site, so that is news to me about the trivia posts for Jack Bauer.
I found your site when I was bored and randomly googling the names of my rp characters. Very random.
